The Forsaken Lands are calling to you once more, hero. Heft your weapon and get ready to dive back into Skydance’s BEHEMOTH and the new Rites of Wrath update, which adds two new modes to the game, free to all players.
Originally released last December, Skydance’s BEHEMOTH is a sprawling action-adventure game, with a campaign as massive as the titular Behemoths you’re tasked with destroying. Developed by the same studio that brought us the acclaimed story-driven world of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, Skydance’s BEHEMOTH is well worth experiencing end-to-end.
But sometimes you just want to jump in, see something amazing, and then call it a day. Enter the new Rites of Wrath update, which makes it easier for players to experience some of Skydance’s BEHEMOTH’s best moments in bite-size fashion.
First up, Arena Mode is leaving beta, and expanding in the process. Test your hand-to-hand combat against waves of enemies, battling day and night across three maps (two new, plus a refined version of the one from the beta). Along the way, you’ll collect coins from your fallen enemies and trade them for powerful new Golden Weapons. There are 15 Golden Weapons in all, each with unique powers for players to discover and master. Just be careful—weapons have a habit of breaking at inopportune moments in the Arena.

With randomized maps and encounters, no two Arena Mode runs will ever be the same. And once you conquer the Arena all the way through, you’ll unlock Endless Mode, the true test of a warrior’s strength.
In addition to Arena Mode, the Rites of Wrath update also includes The Behemoth Trials. Got a favorite Behemoth you enjoy taking down? Or one that really tests your skills? The Behemoth Trials enables players to take on any Behemoth at any time—or even a series of Behemoths—with no preamble. Preset loadouts maximize your likelihood of success, but don’t let that lull you into a false sense of security. This ancient ritual is still a challenge for all but the bravest.
The Rites of Wrath update for Skydance’s BEHEMOTH is the direct result of player feedback, and a great reason to revisit the Forsaken Lands if you already finished the campaign. And if you haven’t? There’s never been a better time to pick up Skydance’s BEHEMOTH, clamber up some enormous enemies, and send them toppling to the ground.

Skydance’s BEHEMOTH (and the Rites of Wrath update) is available now on the Meta Horizon Store.
